I was born in New Zealand and bounced around different towns and cities. I grew up in Auckland, attended school in Whakatane and Tauranga, then moved to Christchurch for university. I also travelled around the country
During a gap semester in uni, I went to Japan for 4 months. I cycled from Toyko to the northern most city, Wakkanai, then to the southern most point of the mainland, Cape Sata, and finally heading back to Tokyo!
I divide my time in the US into 3 parts: First Era, Minnesota Era, and Asya Era. The first era saw me take the train cross country over the course of 2 months. I went to many cities, including New Orleans, where I met my girlfriend and other good friends. The Minnesota Era follows from the First Era and encompasses the year I spent house sitting and looking for work. The Asya Era overlaps with the Minnesota era and is where the really fun travel began. Together we went all over the US, from Vermont, to NY, to MN, to Texas, the national parks, and Hawaii.
I was supposed to come to Italy with Asya, around mid August. But because of the business of the consulate, I had to wait an extra month where I was utterly wracked with nerves. My visa arrived late, so I had to change flights 4 times, then flew into Italy via Amsterdam, and made my way to Forli. So far, I have visited: Forli, Bologna, and Brescia. I want to see Rome, Florence, Venice, Matera, and other famous cities.
